  • Marble has streaks of color running through it that is known as veining.
  • Marble is made of calcium carbonate, CaCO3, and is a stone that can be polished or refined in some way.
  • Marble is a porous rock that can stain and chip; however, some marbles are much more durable than others.
  • Serpentine class marbles are very durable and are less likely to stain or scratch.


Tips for Selecting a Marble
    
  • Find an Experience Distributor that offers a wide variety of marbles from around the United States and World.
  • Look at the marble slab you plan to buy because two pieces of the same marble can look drastically different. Just because you like the sample, does not mean you'll like the slab they give you.
