VIDEO EPISODE 23

The Robie House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is one of the most important structures in American architecture. The house has been called the quintessential example of Prairie Style, but what makes the Robie House so fascinating is Wright's apparent fondness for it. Threatened by demolition twice, Wright rallied to save it. The second time, even though his health was failing, Wright made a trip to the Robie House. The Robie House is the only house he designed that he ever visited to save, which makes you wonder, why was it so important to Wright? To answer that question, Meghan visited the Robie House to talk to Karen Sweeney, the director of restoration for the home.
