- Don't send your sheets out to be dry-cleaned. Wash them at home.
- Use a front-loading washing machine if possible.
- Turn your water setting onto cold. Avoid hot water at all costs.
- Select the gentle cycle. Your sheets don't need to be jostled around to be clean.
- Never use bleach. If you have to, oxygen bleach is okay. Test it on a corner first.
- Choose a mild detergent that doesn't have any brighteners, whiteners, fragrance or coloring added.
- Completely dissolve the soap before putting the sheets in.
- Don't overload the washer.
- Line dry your sheets to lengthen their lifespan.
- If you must use a dryer, select the air tumble setting.
